You can't put us in a (data warehousing) box.
Welcome to Data City, your organization's home for the foreseeable future, and where you have the job of City Planner. Here's the lay of the land: you have a data warehouse downtown, some data marts out in the suburbs, and a lot of construction going on to add extra room and new features to both. The population influx--of data volumes, the users who demand access to them, and the regulators who require them--is unrelenting. In fact, you think your residents in the suburbs might be building some marts that aren't properly zoned, that weren't properly approved, and that their custodians will sooner or later declare within city limits, so you'll have to support them.
You need to decide what you're going to do about your infrastructure, both right now to relieve the overcrowding problem, and in the future, to manage it with scalability (because it shows no signs of stopping). Will you continue the construction on your current data stores? Will you replace them with newer models? Will you build that sleek high rise of form and function, the data warehouse appliance? Consider, too, that there's nothing preventing you from building some combination of all of these.
Clarity can help you decide what's best and build a roadmap accordingly. And whatever data storage system (or systems) you need, we'll build it (or them) from the ground up.
Our leaders built their careers on solving the challenges of "big data." We understand our clients' needs for power and capacity in both transactions and analytics, and we work on the front lines of BI to meet those needs every day. We design and develop data stores that source, cleanse, organize, index, and deliver reams of data at ever-increasing speeds, for an ever-widening audience.
In all the data stores we build, we provide availability, load performance, and optimized query processing. But we don't fall into the trap of considering those qualities the measures of data warehousing success, because they aren't.
Real data warehousing success is measured in terms of the real business value that your data stores deliver. Things like better customer retention, lower inventory costs, increased product sales, or improved employee productivity. Clarity can help you implement data stores that generate real business value.
