John began his 15-year career on the front line, designing and developing integrated business systems as a principal consultant for Price Waterhouse’s then-fledgling data warehousing practice. Through the merger that created consulting giant PwC, and through the subsequent IBM acquisition, John continued to build and then manage highly visible, multi-million dollar BI/DW projects for global clients like Ford, GM, Sprint, Verizon, Dell, and Sun Microsystems. His work helped pioneer information management and define the best practices used in the industry today.

John earned recognition, advancement, and an exceptional track record by implementing systems that spanned multiple and varied business functions, geographies, technologies, applications, and resources, and that placed one thing above all else: the customer. The clients served by John and his teams benefited not only through increased efficiency and lower costs, but through the kind of information that yielded customer insight, and in turn, enhanced customer service—a critical capability as customers worldwide gained more control of their relationships with service providers.

With this focus on customers, John joined Knightsbridge Solutions, a top-ranked boutique consulting firm maintaining exclusivity in business intelligence, data warehousing, data quality, and data integration. Its technology- and vendor-neutral approach was a natural fit for a client advocate like John, who built and delivered a world-class pipeline that included Time Warner, America Online, Disney, Microsoft, Toyota, City National Bank, and Hyatt. In a two-year period, John generated more than $36 million in revenue for Knightsbridge, and then launched and became the leader of its Communications, Media, and Entertainment practice, a full-lifecycle business unit that produced more than $15 million in revenue in 2007 alone.

Under John’s guidance, the Knightsbridge CME vertical expanded its footprint to include first-tier and emerging players in the space, and developed productive client relationships that remain active today. John also grew the practice by strengthening and deepening its bench to 85 dedicated practitioners. His skill in recruiting, developing, managing, and motivating talent enabled him to quickly assemble and deploy expert teams, and to organize them into the appropriate onsite, near shore, and offshore combinations in response to client needs around the clock.

To Clarity Resource Group, John brings a tremendous portfolio of loyal clients, a broad base of contacts and leads with high-quality readiness and potential, and a core team of internal performers. His experience and resources have enabled Clarity to grow beyond its Austin, TX, headquarters and open an office in Chicago, where John is based, in order to leverage geographically diverse opportunities. With John’s experience and subject matter expertise, Clarity is excellently positioned to help shape the landscape of the information age.

John earned his MBA at the University of Georgia, and has a BS in business administration with a concentration in information systems from Indiana University.
