Dennis R. Baginski

Chief Operating Officer

As COO at Clarity, Denny takes command and control of all its operations, including accounting and finance, budgeting, reporting, compliance, human resources, and information technology configuration and management. Denny is the back office itself—he enables and improves the systems that, in turn, enable Clarity to deliver rapid results to clients.

Denny has been with Clarity since its inception, and actually helped found the company itself. A CPA, Denny has the superior analytical capabilities, organizational skills, and strategic insight that make him an excellent fit for a fast-growing company like Clarity. On a daily basis, Denny ensures that infrastructure keeps pace with an expanding client base, a rising number of recruits, a growing staff, and a burgeoning amount of financial transactions. His efforts in helping Clarity achieve its “Fast 50” status (from the Austin Business Journal) stand alongside those of business development and sales.

Before joining Clarity, Denny served as VP of Finance for the Bank of Blue Valley (NASDAQ OTC: BVBC), in Overland Park, KS. In this role, his ability to manage multiple and concurrent projects was evident: he oversaw budgeting, including budget variance analysis, for four companies and more than 70 cost centers. Denny also compiled reports on the bank’s financial performance, ratio analysis, liquidity, lending, and deposit activity, and distributed these reports to senior management as well as the board of directors. Tasked with government compliance responsibilities, he completed the quarterly and annual reporting required by the SEC and the Federal Reserve.

Denny has also held controller and senior accounting positions with NovaStar Financial, Inc. (NYSE: NFI) and Deloitte & Touche, LLP, respectively. At the latter, Denny’s activities included providing advisory services to a diverse client portfolio that included financial institutions, healthcare organizations, manufacturers, and employee benefit plans.

With a BS in both accounting and business administration from the University of Kansas, Denny also received the Gold Key Award by earning one of the three highest scores in the State of Kansas on the May 1997 CPA exam.
